Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you use ClarifyPix, we collect:

  • Account information: email address and a hashed password when you register.
  • Usage data: information about which tools you use, credit consumption, and subscription status.
  • Images: the photos you upload for processing.
  • Google account information: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Provide and improve our AI image processing services
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions
  • Send account-related communications (verification codes, billing notices)
  • Prevent fraud and abuse

3. Image Handling

Here is how your images are handled when you use our service:

  • Images you upload are transmitted securely via HTTPS to our AI processing partner, Replicate, which performs the actual AI enhancement.
  • We do not permanently store your images. After AI processing completes, Replicate provides a temporary output URL. We make the result available for you to download for approximately 1 hour. After that window, the download link on our service expires.
  • Processing results may be retained by Replicate according to their own data retention policies. Please refer to Replicate's Privacy Policy for details on how long they retain processed outputs.
  • We do NOT use your images to train AI models.
  • We do NOT sell or distribute your images to any third party.
  • We do NOT access or review your images unless you specifically request troubleshooting for a processing issue.

In short: your images go directly to the AI processor, you get a window of about 1 hour to download your results, and we do not keep copies or use them for anything else.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Replicate: AI model inference. Images are sent to Replicate for processing and are subject to their privacy policy.
  • PayPal: Payment processing. Your payment information is handled directly by PayPal — we never see or store your credit card details.
  • Resend: Email delivery for verification codes and account notifications.
  • Google: Third-party authentication. When you sign in with your Google account, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. Google's use of your data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

  • Images: automatically deleted after 1 hour.
  • Account data: retained while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time.
  • Usage records (credit consumption, processing history): retained for account management and legal compliance.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and associated data
  • Export your data
  • Opt out of non-essential communications

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for session management (keeping you logged in) and security (CSRF protection). We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics cookies.

8. Children's Privacy

ClarifyPix is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
